How I have a 3 year old already?!?! Hank is super into dinosaurs right now so we decided that is what the theme would be for his birthday party. This year he really knew what a birthday was, and all the fun activities a birthday can entail. I had such an awesome time planning the décor this year, and it made it so much fun seeing Hank get excited for the various things and balloons. We went to Hobby Lobby, and anything with a dinosaur, Hank tried to throw in the cart.
My nieces, Payton & Wrigley, helped tremendously with the décor, and writing on the place-cards, so that also was a lot of fun. We did a taco/nacho bar which was a huge hit again! It really is a great, not to stressful, way to feed a crowd. I have always been intimidated by the large balloon garlands you see all over pinterest, but I gotta say! It was pretty easy! I started by cutting fishing line double the length that I needed. Then, I used our air compressor to blow up about a million balloons in various colors and sizes. This is where it gets tricky, (j/k!), I used the largest sewing needle I had and just started stringing balloons on in no particular rhyme or reason. To hang it around the window I used 3 command hooks, 1 on each corner, and 1 in the center. That is it folks! I feel kind of silly for thinking it would be complicated. From start to finish, I would say, it took about an hour or two. It really was an awesome day with family and friends!!
