Hello friends! Today I am showcasing a little fall DIY project that I recently completed to add a little extra Halloween character to our living room. I knew I wanted a set of 3 pumpkiny type objects that were tall but created different levels to add to the shelf. Before I got started I decided to head out to our scrap wood pile to see if I could get some inspiration for what I wanted. I decided maybe some 2×4’s would do the trick. I just decided to go out on a limb and randomly decide on the 3 different heights I wanted.

After, my live in handy man cut the boards to length we decided to add a piece to the bottom as a base to help them balance better. After cutting and assembly it was time to paint.

Of course I went with the obvious choice of orange. After the 2 coats of paint I decided to sand the blocks a little on the edges to add some additional character and imperfections. For the stems I went on a hunt outside looking for just the right shape or size.

I added a little burlap strings and Voila!

These cute little pumpkin blocks were born! I think they look pretty darn good in their spot!

Another zoomed in shot of the finished product.
